Sustainable Taxiing at IATA WOCE 2025, Brussels

Smart Airport Systems is proud to contribute to the conversation on Sustainable Taxiing at IATA WOCE 2025 in Brussels✈️!

We’re grateful to see such an insightful panel take place:
Scaling Up Sustainable Taxiing at Schiphol Airport whilstDriving Down Ground Emissions and UFP.

On 18 November 2025, our partners — Jasper Daams (Royal Schiphol Group), Sander Niemeijer (LVNL – local ATC) and Ruben Alblas (KLM Royal Dutch Airlines) — shared valuable insights on both the opportunities and the challenges of deploying the TaxiBot at Amsterdam Airport.

We’re encouraged by the collective willingness to move from discussion to implementation, and from pilots to long-term adoption. Sustainable taxiing is not a theoretical future — it is a transformational lever we can deploy today to help airports meet regulatory pressures, support airlines in reducing fuel burn, accelerate the decarbonisation of aviation, and improve the working environment for ground staff.

A big thank you to International Air Transport Association (IATA) for creating the space for these conversations, and to Mark Searle for moderating the panel.

Let’s keep pushing boundaries — together. 🌍⚡
